In short if SEO companies earn bulk cash, they invest in same ratio to keep their best services going. So, what is the main punch these SEO ruling parties own which ordinary SEO professionals don’t? These SEO service providers don’t take anything lightly but coop-up with the best they can. They give their head to every nook and corner to lubricate it for smoother drive of Search Engines.

Within SEO techniques placing a couple of images or at least one within your single post is unforgettable. Everyone knows! I am going to show you exactly what our previously discussed companies do with these images and how they optimize them to get best out of these images.

1: Choosing Name for Image Intelligently:

Either you capture an image with your own camera or search on the internet, the image could have a generic name. You must name this image intelligently according to your content or keywords. Always think like a visitor to your site, what kind of sentence he might have in his mind to search for.

2: Optimizing the Alt Tag:

We can say how awesome this is, when we see an extraordinary image. We can see how bright or dark colors and sketches it has. This is not the case with search engines. Search engines don’t know about a huge ship making his way through the huge waves of ocean in the image. So, let the bots know what it is, using alt attribute within your image links.

Now the Search Engine would know about what your image is all about? Now your image will compete for relevant keywords because you have rightly described the SE what it is.

3: Using Image Caption:

Although image caption doesn’t play any role in your SEO efforts, but its never useless. Studies show that caption is read 300 times more than the body text of the post. So, caption obviously reward you in boosted engagement of your visitors towards your post. So always throw an eye catching caption below your image.

4: Balancing the Quality with Load-time

If your post doesn’t contain a multimedia component then the images are the top most time taking fragment of your post while loading. These can be the reason to slow down your site load time to horrible extents, which is one of the signal of Google algorithm. You should figure out all those opportunities where you might sacrifice the quality.

5: Image Size:

Use thumbnails where possible. To show larger images to your traffic use larger images and load them on some activity. Try to keep image sizes small but that suits best your needs. Small sizes load faster than larger. Especially if you are working on E-Commerce site, you must opt thumbnails.

6: Image File Type:

File type of image plays a big role in size of the file. If you have an image to upload you can check its type easily by activating extension view for all files, or just right click on the image and go to properties and you will find the file type here. For larger images I recommend you to go with JPG. So, how you can change the image file type? Photoshop is an impressive image editing tool. Run it and open target image within Photoshop. Now click ‘File’ and then ‘Save for Web’ a new window will open and from here at your right top most corner you can see the file types in a drop down. You can select the desired file type easily from here and just hit save button and you are done.

7: A word about thematic images:

Several images that are a part of your website theme can be the cause of slowing down your website. Keep a good eye on background, tab, header, footer and other theme related images and try to optimize them to their best.

8: Sitemap for Images:

You must have a separate XML sitemap for your images only. This will help better index your images only that will help your ranking increase quite sufficiently.
